Chinese Antique China Trade washup basin with mandarin decoration, Qianlong 18th c #2062

A very unique and rare washup basin decorated in underglazed blue and white and with rose mandarin figure decoration in the center scene. On top of this there is elaborate gilding that have been added. The porcelain paste used for this basin is very white and shiny and its very thin potted. These types of basins with a rounded lip was made during the 18th C. China Trade era with the purpose to be fitted into a side table top as an insert for holding washup water. Condition: Checked with UV Light: The basin has a L-shaped hairline to the side which has been stabilized with old staple repair. The bottom has got a star-hairline. General wear and manufacturing flaws.
