About Flora Danica Jewelry:
The jewelry success of Flora Danica dates back to 1952, when Orla Eggert and his wife Grethe Eggert established the company first under modest conditions in first their kitchen, then later in the basement in their house in Copenhagen. Orla Eggert developed the idea of making jewelry based on nature's unique design. The first Flora Danica jewelry was based on a copper model of flowers and leaves, which were skillfully transformed by goldsmiths into a piece of jewelry that was subsequently plated with 24 carat gold. However, the copper was relatively quickly replaced by Sterling 925 Silver, which still makes up every single Flora Danica piece of jewelry.
